Oren Otis Harris, carpenter

Oren Otis Harris, 62, of Bealeton, died June 27 at Fauquier Hospital. He was born on Sept. 9, 1945, in West Virginia to the late Samuel Ray and Mildred Lavoo Harris.

He worked as a self-employed carpenter doing home remodeling and additions.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles "Johnny" Harris, his sister, Catherine Nichols and a grandchild.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Harris; his children, Buck Cornwell of Remington, and Willy Harris, Sissy Harris, Butch Harris and Harley Harris, all of Culpeper; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are his sisters, Carol Owens and Wanda Cornuet of Bealeton.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
