Clarence A. Jewell Jr., Army veteran
Clarence Albert Jewell, Jr., 70, of Culpeper, died June 25 at Culpeper Regional Hospital. He was born in Cumberland, Md., on Dec. 2, 1937, to Clarence A. Jewell Sr. and Charlena Virginia Wilson Jewell.
Mr. Jewell served in the U.S. Army for 20 years, including tours in Vietnam. An excellent marksman, he had taught sharpshooting and also repaired power generation equipment.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Carmen Jewell; his children, Carmen Jackson of Culpeper, Timothy "Lee" Davis of Rockland, Maine, Jimmy Davis of Warrenton, Sheila Brash of Orange, Debbie Brindle, Rhonda Jewell, Clarence A. Jewell III and Bobby Jewell, all of Florida, Janet Jewell of Kentucky and Lily Jewell of Utah; 38 grandchildren, and four great- grandchildren.
Funeral services were held June 30 at Moser Funeral Home, Warrenton. Interment with honors followed at Culpeper National Cemetery, Culpeper.
