Residential Burglary InvestigatedA residential burglary reported to the Fauquier County Sheriff's Office April 29 remains under investigation.
Police records indicate someone from the 7800 block of Trafalgar Place, Warrenton, reported the burglary and theft of a Honda CRF50F6 motorcycle. The estimated loss is $1,249.
Property Damage Reported
The Fauquier County Sheriff's Office received two reports of damaged property April 27 and May 3.
The details included in police reports are as follows:
— April 27, a caller from the 5800 block of Ridgecrest Avenue, Warrenton, reported damage to a 2001 GMC truck. The estimated loss is $8,000.
— May 3, a complainant from the 8400 block of Springs Road, Warrenton, reported damage to a golf course. It appeared that someone drove over the second hole in a vehicle. The estimated loss is $1,000.
Alleged Wire Fraud
Fauquier County detectives are investigating an incident involving alleged wire fraud.
According to police records, someone from the 12200 block of Hume Road reported the incident April 30. The estimated loss in the case is $6,018.
One Hurt in Crash
An Amissville teen was hurt in a two-car crash April 28, police said.
According to a Fauquier County deputy's report, the wreck happened in the area of U.S. 17 (Marsh Road) and Independence Avenue at approximately 10:10 p.m.
A Catlett teen who was driving a 2005 Jeep was stopped in a line of about 20 vehicles while waiting to leave the school parking lot, according to the report. An Amissville girl, who was driving a Saturn SUV, was alleged going about 10 to 15 mph when she rear-ended the Catlett teen's car.
The Amissville teen, who was visibly injured, was transported to the hospital by EMS personnel.
Front Royal Woman Charged With DUI
A Front Royal Woman was reportedly charged with DUI after she was involved in a single-vehicle accident May 6.
A Fauquier County deputy's report indicates the crash happened in the 9300 block of John S. Mosby Highway near Trapp Road at approximately 7:10 p.m.
Elizabeth Jones Rice, 56, was driving a 1996 Toyota when the vehicle went off the right side of the road and got stuck in a ditch. Rice was not hurt, according to the report.
The vehicle sustained approximately $1,000 in damages.
