Lawsuit Dismissed on Technicality
U.S. District Court Judge Claude M. Hilton dismissed a civil suit against BB&T bank April 23.
Closing Connection LLC, a Warrenton business, sued the bank earlier this year for negligence, breach of fiduciary duty and breach of contract.
In rendering his decision, Hilton said the matter should be addressed under the Virginia Uniform Commercial Code, not common law.
