Beth Moore simulcast Aug. 1-2

Best-selling Christian author Beth Moore will deliver a message to an estimated 80,000 women in 600 churches across the U.S. on Aug. 1-2 via satellite from Louisville, Ky. This simulcast will be broadcast live at Bealeton Baptist Church from 7:30-10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1, and 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2.

Broad Run VBS Aug. 3-8

Broad Run Baptist Church's Vacation Bible School will be held 7-9 p.m. Aug. 3-8.

This year's theme is "Outrigger Island: Living Gods Unshakable Truth." It will help children develop the stability they need to become unshakable in a world of shifting sands.

Children will spend their time in crafts, games, Bible stories, music and Bible study. Snacks will be provided. "Outrigger Island" is for children ages 3-18.

First Friday Nights in the Reading Room

The Christian Science Reading Room at 48 Main Street, Warrenton, invites everyone to join them to discuss articles from the current Christian Science Monitors. The discussions will begin 6-9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1.

Articles to be discussed will be listed on the "sandwich board" outside. Everyone will receive copies of the discussion articles, and refreshments will be served.

Family Day caps First Baptist Bible Camp

Preschoolers through teens are invited to join in the fun at the First Baptist Church Vacation Bible Camp, 5-8 p.m. July 30-Aug. 1.

Then, the whole family is invited to participate in FBC Family Day on Saturday, Aug. 2, at Eva Walker Park, Alexandria Pike and Haiti Street, Warrenton.

The day starts at 10 a.m. with a flea market. Spaces are $15; reserve one at (703) 981-4084 or (540) 347-5467. Registration for the car show is $15, with prizes for best overall, engine, and paint; call (540) 668-9090.

Games and food are 12-4 p.m., with a moon bounce, dunking booth, and more. Plus, there will be a free car seat safety inspection and/or installation.

Morrisville UMC adds teen service

Morrisville United Methodist Church invites all teens — middle school, high school and college — to join pastor Hae Rin Lawson each Sunday as she begins a new Sunday school class and worship service just for them.

The class will start Aug. 3 and will be held each Sunday immediately following the 9 a.m. worship service. The worship service will start at 11 a.m. the third Sunday in September.

Plan now for 175th anniversary at Mount Holly

Mount Holly Baptist Church in Remington would like to invite everyone to celebrate its 175th anniversary at Homecoming on Sunday, Aug. 17, beginning with the 10:30 a.m. morning service. The Greater Love Quartet will provide special music during both the morning service and the 2 p.m. afternoon service.

Dinner on the grounds will follow the morning worship service.

Revival services will follow, Monday, Aug. 18, through Friday, Aug. 22, at 7:30 p.m. with the Rev. Earl Clarkson as guest preacher. There will be special music each evening.

Mount Moriah plans Homecoming, revival

Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Amissville invites everyone to join them for their annual revival and Homecoming services.

On Thursday, July 31, at 7:30 p.m., there will be an ordination service for Junior Deacon Nathaniel Logan.

Friday at 7:30 p.m., the Rev. Homer Jones, pastor of Bethel Baptist Church in Amissville, will be the guest preacher.

Homecoming will be celebrated Sunday, when the Rev. Arthur Green, pastor of Swift Ford Baptist Church, will be the 3 p.m. guest speaker. Lunch will be served.

Youth Revival starts tonight

Mount Nebo Baptist Church, Morgantown, invites everyone to attend the Youth Revival starting 7:30 p.m. tonight, Wednesday, July 30, and continuing through Friday, Aug. 1. Minister Henry Hall from First Springs, Warrenton, will be the guest preacher.

Revelation studies continue at Fauquier High School

F. Michael Grant, formerly of Marshall, now retired and working as a missionary, is assisting in a continuing series on the Book of Revelation currently being presented at Fauquier High School, hosted by the Warrenton Seventh Day Adventist Church.

The next in the series will be "The Longest Most Amazing Prophecy" presented at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1.

Presentations are scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday Aug. 2, 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 4, and 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5. Future dates and topics will be announced at the meetings.

This prophecy seminar is presented in a relaxed atmosphere, so people are invited to "come as you are." Registration is free.

Guest speakers in August at WBF

Warrenton Bible Fellowship has a series of guest speakers planned in August.

Join them on Aug. 3 to hear John Boswell, who will be speaking on "Christ, Our Master Builder."

On Aug. 10, Ernest Ariola will teach from the book of Matthew. He will look at the account of the feeding of the 5,000 and discuss "God's Miraculous Provision."

The third in the series will be Aug. 17, when Scott Ferrell speak on the church and politics.

All three messages promise to be interesting, challenging and God-centered.

Zion Community Homecoming, revival planned

Zion Community Baptist Church will be celebrating its Homecoming and revival beginning 3 p.m. Aug. 3. The guest speaker will be Pastor Xavier and the Chatham Grove Baptist Church family of Charlottesville. The choir of the evening will be Fire Within Thy Soul from Richmond.

Revival will be held the following week. Worship will begin at 7:30 p.m. each night with Prayer & Praise. Pastor Doyle Thomas of Charlottesville will be the evangelist for the week.
