New Baltimore This Week: KRHS brainstorming meeting set
Time flies when you're having fun.
This column concludes my 11-year association with the Fauquier Times-Democrat, and during that time, I have met so many people in my neighborhood. As much as I have enjoyed writing this column on a nearly weekly basis, I am willing to pass the baton to someone else who may be interested in carrying on the New Baltimore column. If you are one of those people, please let me know.
Outrigger Island Vacation Bible School will take place at Broad Run Baptist Church Aug. 3-8 from 7-9 p.m. Children ages 2-18 years old are welcome. For more information and registration, contact pastor Larry White at (540) 347-1379 or Clara Williams at (540) 347-9109.
Kettle Run High School Class of 2010 will hold an initial brainstorming meeting in the new school’s lecture hall at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7. All current juniors are welcome to share their ideas for inaugural year events, as well as for events that will become tradition at Kettle Run. Fundraising and service projects will also be discussed.
This is a great opportunity to get involved in the new school, where only the sky is the limit. For more information, please e-mail junior class sponsor DeJuanna Parker at dparker@fcps1.org.
Fauquier Softball Association is accepting registrations for the fall season for girls 5-18 years of age through July 31. For more information or registration, visit www.FauquierGirlsSoftball.com or call (540) 347-5063.
