Goldvein This Week: Mount Holly Homecoming Aug. 17

Morrisville United Methodist Church would like to invite all teens, middle school, high school and college age, to join pastor Hae Rin Lawson each Sunday as she begins a Sunday School class just for them.

The class will start Aug. 3 and will be held each Sunday following the 9 a.m. worship service. Call the church at (540) 439-2594 for more details.

Fauquier Girls Softball Association is accepting registrations through July 31. Girls 5 to 18 years of age can play and all skill levels are welcome, from beginner to all-star. FGSA also offers post season all-star play in the spring (FURY) and tournament team play (FUSION). Check out www.FauquierGirlsSoftball.com or call (540) 347-5063.

Mount Holly Baptist Church in Remington would like to invite everyone to its 175th anniversary/homecoming celebration at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 17. Special music will be provided by the Greater Love Quartet. Dinner on the grounds will follow the morning service.

The Rev. Earl Clarkson will be preaching a revival at Mount Holly Aug. 18-22 at 7:30 p.m. each evening. For more details, call the church at (540) 439-1504.

Mark your calendars for Sept. 13. That's the day of the Goldvein Jubilee, and you don't want to miss it. Lots of fun and food for everyone.

Call Bob at (540) 752-5330 if you would like to help out with this worthy cause.

I like this week's quote by Ovid: "Take rest; a field that has rested gives a bountiful crop."

Have a great week.
