True Deliverance Church of God

The True Deliverance Church of God Ministries was established Nov. 12, 1967, by the late apostle Albert Venson, who had churches in Detroit, Mich., Washington, D.C., and Maryland.

Through his ministry, he built a 24-hour prayer tower in Maryland and the Victory Drug Center in Maryland and in Virginia.

He built a new church in Bealeton, but had no pastor, so in January 1996, he asked his son-in-law and daughter to start the new church.

In May 1997, T. Tyronne and Felicia Champion accepted the call and began to pastor the True Deliverance Church of God in Bealeton with one member.

Apostle Venson passed away in January 1997. Pastor and First Lady Tyronne and Felicia Champion saw a need in the community to help those who had been affected by the challenges of life. Through their ministry, they embarked on their vision to help.

In November 2002, they opened Clara's Faith House Food Pantry to feed the hungry, then in May 2003, they opened Victory Transitional Housing, with the capacity to house 40 homeless people.

In May 2004, the Champions established a non-profit organization, Community Touch, Inc., the umbrella organization for the church's outreach programs. Since then, Community Touch, Inc. has grown tremendously and provides much needed support to those who suffer from life’s challenges and mishaps.

Noah's Ark was opened in October 2004 to provide free clothing, furniture and household items to the local community.

The True Deliverance Church of God family has also grown with a membership of more than 100 people. The Champions and the church membership are truly grateful for God allowing them to work in Fauquier County.

Regular Sunday services include Sunday school at 10 a.m. and morning worship at 11:15 a.m.

During the week, Wednesday Bible Study is at 7:30 p.m., and Thursday Night Prayer is at 7:30 p.m.

Vacation Bible School will be held July 21-25.

During the summer, Noah's Ark is open the first, second and fourth Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is closed the third and fifth Saturdays.

Summer hours for Clara's Faith House Food Pantry are 10 a.m. to noon the first, second and fourth Saturday.
