Belvoir sports camp July 14-18

Belvoir Assembly of God will be hosting a free sports camp for ages 4-11 at the church, 4180 Belvoir Road, Marshall.

Soccer, basketball and cheerleading will be featured at the camp, which will be 6-9 p.m. July 14-18.

Special services planned at Catlett Assembly of God

Evangelist Gayle Brostowski will be ministering at Catlett Assembly of God starting Sunday, July 13, at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.

She will continue the ministry at 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, July 14-16.

Guest speaker July 13 in Gainesville

The Rev. Dr. Caprili C. Guanga, native of the Philippines, who has been a church planter/pastor at churches in the Philippines, Indonesia and lately Woodbridge, will preach at Church of the Word, Gainesville, at 10 a.m. Sunday, July 13. His subject will be "Lessons on Mission from Jonah."

Heritage VBS starts July 28

Heritage Presbyterian Church in Warrenton will be holding Vacation Bible School from 9 a.m.-noon July 28-Aug. 1.

Children from the community are invited to join them in a "Faith Expedition."

Little Zion celebrates pastor's anniversary

Little Zion Baptist Church in Bethel will be celebrating the 13th anniversary of their pastor, the Rev. Dr. Samuel H. Smith Sr., at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 13.

Dr. William Swann will deliver the Word for the afternoon service and will be accompanied by his choir and church family from First Ashville Baptist Church, Marshall.

Lunch will be served, and all are welcome.

Anniversary and Homecoming at Macedonia

The Macedonia Baptist Church family cordially invites everyone to join them for their Church Anniversary and Homecoming Revival. These services will begin each night at 7:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, July 16, the Rev. Dr. Donald Reid, pastor of the Mount Pax-an Baptist Church, the choir and congregation, from Linden, will be their guests.

The next night, Thursday, July 17, the Rev. James L. McCray Jr., pastor of Little Zion Baptist Church, the choir and congregation from Nokesville will be guests.

Friday, July 18, the Rev. Ronald White, pastor of Williams Chapel C. M. E. Church, the choir and congregation from Front Royal will be special guests.

Closing out the week, on Sunday, July 20, the church will be celebrating its 143rd church anniversary and Homecoming. The Rev. Dr. Donald Simpkins, pastor, will deliver the morning worship service message. Lunch will be provided prior to the afternoon service.

The celebration continues at 3 p.m., with the Anniversary Message being delivered by the Rev. Samuel Barnhart, pastor of Second Baptist Church, Falls Church. His church family will accompany him.

Morrisville UMC men serve breakfast

Morrisville United Methodist Church invites everyone to a new, fun day of Vacation Bible School activities on Saturday, July 19. This "one day only" event will include all of the favorite VBS activities, including music, lessons, crafts, food and fellowship, all with a great summer beach theme. Registrations can be taken at the church office, (540) 439-2594, or by coming on July 19. At the end of the VBS day, families and friends are invited to an ice cream social. Just a week before VBS, on Saturday, July 12, join the United Methodist Men's Group as they serve up their annual pancake and sausage breakfast at the Fauquier County Fair.

 

Community breakfast July 12

Mount Horeb United Methodist Church will hold their monthly community breakfast from 8-10 a.m. Saturday, July 12.

Bring an appetite and enjoy eggs, bacon, sausage, grits, biscuits and much more. Join them, neighbors meeting neighbors through Christ.

Homecoming July 13 at Providence, Orlean

On July 13, Providence Baptist Church in Orlean will be having their annual Homecoming service. The Rev. Floyd Haralson from Providence Baptist Church in Remington will be the guest speaker. Lunch will be served immediately following morning service.

Silver Hill plans special events

On Sunday, July 13, at 3 p.m., the Silver Hill Baptist Church family will be having a fellowship worship service. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Henry Durham, pastor-elect of the Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Triangle. He will be accompanied by his choir and congregation. Dinner will be served at 2 p.m.

Vacation Bible School will be held 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, through Friday, July 25, at the church, with the annual church picnic completing the week's activities. It will be held from 12-6 p.m. Saturday, July 26.

Silver Hill ushers will be having their annual day at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 27. The guest preacher will be the Rev. James L. McCray Jr., pastor of Little Zion Baptist Church, Greenville. He will be accompanied by his choir and congregation. Dinner will be served at 2 p.m. All ushers are asked to come dressed in white.

Revival planned at Warrenton Assembly of God

A "Transformation Celebration" (revival) will be held at Warrenton Assembly of God at 7 p.m. Friday, July 18, 6 p.m. Saturday, July 19, and on Sunday, July 20, at 10:45 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Evangelist Brandon Shank will be the guest minister.

All are welcome.
