I would like to praise the Fauquier County SPCA. They are a professional and caring group of people who do a wonderful job working with the homeless dogs and cats in our county.
Citizens in our county should be aware that there is currently an abundance of wonderful animals available for adoption. There are especially many adults dogs and kittens which need homes.
From now until the end of August, there is a special adoption plan for the kittens. If you adopt one kitten for $95, you get a second kitten for free. This fee includes spay/neuter, deworming and initial shots, microchip and rabies.
I was just there, and the kittens are healthy and beautiful. Due to many people losing their homes, there are also many wonderful dogs, former family pets, available.
Please consider opening your home to these wonderful animals. You can get directions, hours and other information at (540) 788-9000 or at www.fauquierspca.com.
